DETROIT -

Students, educators, business leaders and others are coming together in Detroit to take a stand against bullying.

The Stand4Change anti-bullying rally is scheduled for Friday at Campus Martius park and will be emceed by local radio personality Dr. Don.

It's being hosted by Defeat The Label, a Bloomfield Hills-based nonprofit that's dedicated to empowering students to take a stand against bullying in their schools and communities.

It's part of an international call to action against bullying taking place across the world on Friday.

It will feature an appearance by Kevin Epling, whose 14-year-old son, Matt, killed himself after a hazing incident in 2002.

The event is free.

The rally also will feature eight food trucks from the metro Detroit area to feed the participants for lunch. Area schools may participate by registering here.
