Arrests made in connection with shooting near Great Lakes Crossing

Police reveal shooting may have been drug deal gone bade

AUBURN HILLS – Police have arrested two suspects in connection with a shooting that occurred in Auburn Hills on Jan.15.

Both men, ages 31 and 26, were located and arrested in the City of Flint. The Auburn Hills Police Department was assisted in the investigation by the Michigan State Police-Flint Post. Around 8:20 p.m. Tuesday, the Auburn Hills Police Department responded to the area of Baldwin Road and Great Lakes Crossing Drive for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival the victim, a 20 year old New Haven resident, was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Initial reports indicate the injuries are non-life threatening. The initial investigation has determined that this appeared to be a drug deal and both the victim and suspects knew each other. The case will be presented to the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office for review and we anticipate they will be arraigned on charges within 48 hours.
