Authorities looking for 2 runaway sisters from Scio Township

SCIO TOWNSHIP, Mich. – The Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help to find two sisters who have run away.

The sheriff's office said 15-year-old Kimbreale Howard and 9-year-old Johnnay Paul were last seen Sunday at their Scio Township home.

They're likely still in the metro Detroit area.

The girls' grandmother, Dr. Enaj G. Castle, has had custody of them and their three other sisters since last June when their mother died suddenly.

"I'm just afraid that with her taking her baby sister and the choices that she's making, they don't have Johnnay's nor Kimbreale's best interests," said Castle.

Kimbreale has run away at least two times before. She was gone for more than three weeks last month.

"She wants to be able to go where she wants to go, when she wants to go," said Castle.

For Castle, who said she is a doctor of theology, this time has really tested her faith.

"I will continue to fight for all my grandkids until they are of age, because I love and care for all of them," she said.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to call 734-973-4977.
