DETROIT – A homeowner in Detroit got quite the surprise Sunday when he hit a bazooka training round with his lawnmower.
The man discovered the round in his yard while mowing his lawn, according to police.
The Detroit man immediately called police who arrived at the home near East State Fair and Joann avenues with a bomb squad.
Officials determined the practice round was used for military training and was not a threat.
The Detroit Police Bomb Squad encourages people to call police if anything like this is found and urges that it not be touched.
