Last November, the FBI seized the servers of some international hackers operating out of Estonia. The hackers had already downloaded malware onto half a million computers. If the servers has been shut down, those people would have lost internet access.
Instead, the FBI started re-directing those victims to new, clean servers, and they probably never knew they'd been infected.
Time Is Almost Up
However, those servers will be turned off Monday, July 9th. Anyone who is still infected will lose their internet access when that happens.
There is an easy solution. The FBI says you should check your computer.
There's an FBI webpage that can detect the malware, and explain how to fix it.
The Better Business Bureau says it should take just a few minutes.
