'Bike Day' at Beaumont helps special needs kids

Big smiles for more than 100 special needs children in Metro Detroit who received specialized bikes Saturday.

It was all part of "Bike Day" -- a partnership between Children's Miracle Network and Beaumont Children's Hospital. Special needs kids were fitted with bikes at no cost to their families, which is helpful, because the bikes can cost as much as $6,000.

Along with giving children the chance to get out pedaling with siblings and friends, the bikes also offer physical therapy.

If you want to help out this wonderful program by sending a check. You can make it out to 'Children's Miracle Network at Beaumont Foundation' and put down 'Bike Day' in the memo line.
