Bike thief spotted at Sterling Heights school

Police: Surveillance cameras show man stealing 2 bikes from outside Henry Ford High School

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – Police are trying to track down a man who was caught by surveillance cameras stealing bikes parked outside Henry Ford High School.

The man swiped two bikes from a rack about 9:50 a.m. Thursday, March 27, placed them in his maroon Ford Explorer and drove away.

Police describe the unidentified man as black with a medium height and build. He had a mustache and was wearing a blue coat with white or light-colored print on it and a University of Michigan stocking cap.

The vehicle is described as a 4-door Ford Explorer, maroon in color with tan trim at the bottom.
