Foul play in death of person found in ditch at I-94, I-275 in Romulus

ROMULUS, Mich. – The Michigan State Police says foul play was involved in the death of a person whose body was found Wednesday in a ditch near the Interstate 94 and Interstate 275 interchange.

MSP said evidence found at the scene and an autopsy performed Thursday shows foul play was involved. The victim has been identified, but the identity has not been released to the public.

Michigan State Police said a Michigan Department of Transportation crew was mowing the grass Wednesday when they found the body about 3 p.m. near the eastbound I-94 ramp to southbound I-275. 

State police are investigating. Lt. Michael Shaw said the body was decomposing.
