DEARBORN, Mich. - The body of a 20-year-old woman who was abducted from a Dearborn Family Dollar store has been found.
Dearborn Police Chief Ron Haddad said a 911 call at about 8 a.m. Thursday led investigators to a wooded area near the Southfield Freeway and Michigan Avenue.
Haddad confirmed the body belonged to Machus just after noon.
"I am enraged that we have another homicide in Dearborn," Haddad said.
He added that federal, state and regional law enforcement agencies were involved in the investigation.
Joe Orlando, 20, was found shot dead Tuesday morning at the Family Dollar store off Michigan Avenue near Outer Drive.
Orlando had been working with Machus, a store manager, the night before.
But Machus wasn't anywhere to be found when Orlando's body was discovered.
Police looking for man in surveillance video:
Police have released a 17-second surveillance video of a person of interest waving his arm as he entered the store Monday night with a hood over his head. His face isn't clear in the video.
Police talking with customer who was in the store:
Police had asked two female customers who had been in the store Monday night to come forward so they could talk to them. Haddad stressed that the women are not persons of interest in the case, but that they may have valuable information.
On Thursday, Haddad said one of the two women they had been looking for had come forward.
They are still looking for the second woman.
Family Dollar has increased the Crime Stoppers reward to $12,500 for information that leads to the arrest of whoever is responsible for killing Machus. The cash reward for information in Orlando's murder is $2,500.
