Bomb squad called to Port Huron Police Department for WWI-era device

Diver finds military-grade bomb in Lake St. Clair

PORT HURON, Mich. – The Michigan State Police bomb squad has been called to the Port Huron Police Department to take care of a WWI-era bomb device that was found in Lake St. Clair.

The device was brought to the police station Monday by a diver who found it.

Police say the diver has in the past found four others bombs and every time has turned them into police.

The bomb was found in lake in front of Mac Rays Harbor.

The diver drove the bomb to Port Huron police himself.
