Boy, 2, found alone in Royal Oak Township field

Passerby finds boy, takes him to Oakland County Sherriff's Office

ROYAL OAK TOWNSHIP, Mich. – The Oakland County Sheriff's Office says a 2-year-old boy was found alone Friday in a Royal oak Township field.

The boy was found near Glen Lodge and Pasadena Street by a passerby and taken to a nearby substation.

Deputies said the boy's father showed up about an hour later to report him missing, saying he had left the boy with relatives while he had run to get diapers. The boy apparently slipped out a door.

Child Protective Services was investigating.
