BPS offers job fair invitations to grow talent pool

Survey to close March 7

BIRMINGHAM, Mich. – Birmingham Public Schools is taking a new approach to the hiring process, by inviting qualified elementary teaching professionals to an upcoming job fair.

To receive one of 300 invitations offered from the district, interested parties are invited to complete a survey. The ultimate goal of the job fair, to be held March 15, will be to create a pool of 50-75 qualified professionals from which the district can interview when openings arise. Each year, BPS hires approximately 15-20 teachers to fill vacancies and new positions.
