EASTPOINTE, Mich. – An Eastpointe family grieves for two loved ones killed in two separate incidents early Sunday morning.
The tragic chain of events began at the family-owned bar on Kerchaval, the Texas Bar, where 21-year-old Brenda Tucker was the victim of an apparent self-inflicted gun shot wound.
As her brother 20-year-old Ricky Tucker raced to the hospital to see her, he crossed the center line on Warren and crashed into an SUV.
The SUV driver suffered minor injuries, and Ricky Tucker was killed.
"It's like a nightmare that won't end," said the victims' sister, Amanda Tucker.
The family has set up a fund to help pay for funeral expenses.
