Car crashes through 2 fences into school on Detroit's east side

Neighbors pulled man out of car, witnesses said

DETROIT – A car crashed through two metal fences and hit East English Village Preparatory Academy Wednesday night on Detroit's east side, according to DPD.

Neighbors ran out of their homes to help the man driving the car, witnesses said. The neighbors got the man out of the car and health officials arrived at the scene to work on him.

The driver's condition is unknown.

Police are investigating the crash.
