The funeral for the 93-year-old man was held over the weekend, but burial was delayed due to soggy ground from recent rain.

Police found the casket Tuesday morning in a white van that was parked at a Citgo gas station at Harper Avenue and Dickerson Street. However, the body wasn't inside.

It was later found in a basement freezer in the deceased's son's home in the 4700 block of Eastlawn Street.

The 48-year-old son and a 38-year-old man are in custody.
