Chester Township police arrest man for 10th drunken driving offense after Burger King rant
Police: Dennis Thoel arrested after yelling obscenities at drive-thru workers, driving erratically
Chester Township police arrested a man who is accused of drunken driving for the 10th time.
Police received a call from the Burger King located on 23 Mile Road, east of Gratiot on Tuesday.
Employees told police an intoxicated driver pulled up to the drive-thru and started yelling obscenities at them.
Police responded and say they found Dennis Thoel, age 66, from Macomb Township, driving erratically and unable to stay in his own lane.
Thoel was arrested after he failed sobriety tests and blew a .20, say police.

Back at the police station Thoel's long driving record and criminal history was discovered.
Police say Thoel has nine prior drinking and driving convictions dating back to 1976, with the most recent one from the year 2000.
Thoel was charged with operating while intoxicated third offense and arraigned Wednesday in the 42-2 District Court of New Baltimore.
The charges carry a penalty of 1-5 years is convicted. Thoel is being held at the Macomb County Jail on a $25,000 cash bond.
