Chilly and damp Friday

Chilly and wet weather for the end of the week

Andrew Humphrey!

DETROIT – Friday morning will be cold but many temps will be above freezing.  This is key because showers will fall in the Motown Area.  Most areas will have rain.  The farther north of Detroit one is the more likely wet snow or sleet particles will mix with the rain.  Most streets and highways will be wet, but there may be some isolated icy spots on ramps, bridges, overpasses or side streets north of Detroit.  If there is any frozen precipitation, it will likely turn to rain after 9am when temps rise further above freezing.  Afternoon temps will be in the low 40s.

Saturday and Sunday will have a repeat performance of showers.  Chilly rain is likely during each day.  A slight chance of flake or ice is possible each late night or early morning.
