Chilly start with warmer afternoon Tuesday

Tuesday morning brings a couple of issues starting with wind chills. It's not windy but temps are down in the 20s with a light breeze bringing wind chills in much of Metro Detroit down into the teens. Also, watch out for patchy fog. There's been some snow melt and as morning temps cool off, the fog will limit visibility to under a quarter mile in some neighborhoods. Otherwise, it's shaping up to be a decent day. Highs will be near 40 degrees this afternoon with partly cloudy to partly sunny skies and light winds SW 5-10 mph.

Get ready for upper 40s to near 50 degrees by Wednesday seeing our snow melting around Metro Detroit. We should see plenty of sun early Wednesday and it will be a great travel day for Thanksgiving Day celebrations.

Thursday will be warming into the low 50s but a rain maker will be right on our doorstep. That rain will hold off for America's Thanksgiving Parade with morning lows near 40 degrees and warming as we start downtown. But, we will see some scattered showers or rain chances through Thursday afternoon.

Most of the wet weather holds off until Friday, so shoppers need to pack the umbrellas and a light jacket with temps in the mid 40s to near 50 degrees. With the big holiday this week, get the FREE Local4Casters Weather and Storm Pins apps free in your app store under WDIV.
