AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -

White-collar employees at the Chrysler Auburn Hills tower and blue-collar workers -- mostly in the factories -- are wondering whether or not their jobs will be affected as Fiat takes over.

Michigan has more than 33,000 employees with Chrysler. There was talk of the local headquarters moving because of the collaboration with Fiat, but IHS, Global Auto Analysis Stephanie Brimly says that won't be the case.

"Functionally it won't make a big difference in terms of operation, you'll still have your core here in Auburn Hills and you're still going to have your core in the terms of the collaboration with the Fiat project," she said.

CEO of Chrysler, Sergio Marchionne, says his meetings are on airplanes. He says he feels the company is just wherever the management team is at that moment.
