Civil War Remembrance at Greenfield Village to remember those who fought, died in battle

DEARBORN, Mich. – The Civil War Remembrance is taking place at Greenfield Village this weekend.

It's an opportunity to experience the Civil War with bustling camps, cavalry and music along with reenacted events. The event is about remembering the 3 million people who fought in the Civil War and the estimated 750,000 people who died.

Hundreds of Union and Confederate reenactors, civilians, musicians and historic presenters will share more about the era this weekend at Greenfield Village.

The event takes place from 9:30-7 p.m. Saturday and is open until May 29."
