CLARKSTON, Mich. - A dog that went missing after his owner was hit by a car last week in Clarkston has been found.

Laura Pantea was walking Jojo last Saturday near M-15 and Cranberry Lake Road when she was hit from behind by a car.

Pantea was hospitalized but is back home recovering from scrapes and bruises.

Jojo, a blue merle Australian Shepherd, ran off in the midst of the incident and had been missing for days.

The family told Local 4 Friday morning that they had gotten a call that Jojo had been found around 3 a.m. and he is back at home. They plan on taking him to the vet to get checked out.

The family got Jojo in February after they had to put another dog to sleep.
