Clinton Township police investigating fatal crash from Saturday

24-year-old Macomb man killed in early morning crash on Clinton River Road

Clinton Township, Mich. – Clinton Township police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred early Saturday morning.

Police are working to determine what caused the single car crash on Clinton River and 17 Mile roads.

Police say a car was traveling East bound on Clinton River Road at a high rate of speed, when the driver lost control of the vehicle on Saturday morning around 4 a.m.

The car hit a tree. The driver, 24-year-old Bobby Moore of Macomb Township, was pronounced dead at McLaren Macomb hospital.

The passenger of the vehicle, a 25-year-old male resident of Macomb was also transported to McLaren and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

No other vehicles are believed to have been involved in the crash. Police say, alcohol or drugs may be a factor in the crash and they await medical reports to confirm.
