Clinton Twp. motorcyclist killed in crash on Gratiot Avenue

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A 33-year-old Clinton Township man was killed Friday afternoon when he crashed his motorcycle into the back of a car on Gratiot Avenue.

Police say Ryan Michael Williams was driving his 2012 Kawasaki Ninja 600 motorcycle in the left through lane of southbound Gratiot Avenue at 4:57 p.m. when he ran into the back of a 1997 Pontiac Transport. The Pontiac was driven by a 74-year-old woman from Mt. Clemens.

Investigation showed that the Pontiac pulled out of a parking lot on the west side of Gratiot Avenue, crossed over the southbound lanes and into the left curb lane, where the incident happened.

Clinton Township police are investigating the crash and ask anyone with information to call 586-493-7894.
