FLINT, Mich. - A Flint-area man has been sentenced to serve 35 to 65 years in prison for his role in the 2010 killing of a disabled homeless woman.

Cody Lee Asbury pleaded no contest to second-degree murder in the death of Amanda Lamson.

The 20-year-old from Clio was sentenced on Monday in Genesee County Circuit Court.

Authorities said Asbury and Thomas Jones kicked Lamson several times and then ran her over with separate vehicles.

The Flint Journal reported that Jones was convicted of first-degree murder in April and sentenced to life in prison.
