Clouds keep temps cool in metro Detroit

DETROIT – High clouds are taking over and will be with us the rest of the afternoon keeping temps from warming up.

We will top out in the low 30s today with light winds becoming W 5-12 mph.

A few of our western suburbs may see a few flakes we are tracking on radar. Some very light snow showers possible too up in the Thumb Region later on.

We are watching a very weak storm moving in our direction early Tuesday. It looks like most of us will see snow arriving by or just after 8 a.m. and lasting through the morning. But, most of us will see a dusting to maybe an inch.

A few isolated areas north like Pontiac and Lapeer may get a bit more. Winds will pick up too from the West 10-20 mph. Highs Tuesday will be in the low 30s feeling cooler with afternoon breezes.

Dry weather Wednesday but cold still with 12 degrees for a low and highs in the upper 20s with mostly sunshine to partly cloudy skies. Warmer weather is on it's way towards the end of the week. In fact, the outlook for Sunday and Monday (opening day at Comerica) looks to be in the mid 50s if not warmer.
