The companies, ranging from McDonald's to Quicken Loans and Marathon Oil, are looking to fill approximately 50 entry level and white-collar jobs.
Job seekers can register free of charge at employdetroit.eventbrite.com. Those who register will be guaranteed admission. Walk-ins are welcome but space is limited.
Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan, Councilman Scott Benson and Council President Brenda Jones are behind the event.
"It's extremely important that we remove any barriers to employment," Benson said. "Detroiters are ready to work and we need to make sure we connect them with jobs on all levels."
