Cornerstone Charter Schools hosting job fair Friday

Qualified and certified teachers wanted for language arts, math, science, social studies

DETROIT – Cornerstone Charter Schools is hosting a job fair for qualified and certified teachers on Friday, July 10th. 

The charter school is looking for highly qualified and certified teachers for all of its schools, all grade levels, and in many subjects.

Specifically, the school is looking for teachers in language arts, math, science, and social studies for grades 2-5 and for middle school. They are also looking for teachers in algebra, language arts, science, physical science and chemistry, Spanish, and resource room teachers at the high school level.

All positions are full time. 

Alicia R Ganaway, Cornerstone Schools Director of Human Resources, says that the job fair will help the school attract more quality teachers. 

"The goal of this job fair is to reach a wider candidate pool that is interested in teaching at a charter school, specifically Cornerstone," said Ganaway. "At Cornerstone we are motivated by a desire to see students thrive and fulfill their unique potential. We believe that transforming young people's lives is a worthy purpose, and we are honored to be called to this service." 

Cornerstone Charter Schools is a public school academy with 2,400 students at four locations in Detroit and Redford.
