Corvette Stingray being raffled off for Make-A-Wish Michigan

WARREN, Mich. – Don Hamilton will never forget what the Make-A-Wish Michigan foundation did for his son, Christopher.

The boy died 27 years ago from leukemia. But he didn't pass without leaving his family with memories and the chance to make his own when he met Hulk Hogan. The special moment was made possible by the foundation, and the Hamilton family wanted to make sure other families got their special moment.

So they bought a shiny red 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, worth $54,340, to raffle it off. The proceeds from the raffle tickets will go to Make-A-Wish Michigan.

The foundation said the average cost to grant a wish is $8,000.

Tickets, which are $50 each or $100 for three, can be purchased at the Hamilton's dealership. For more information on how to purchase tickets, visit Michigan.wish.org.

The winner will have the choice of taking the car home, or a $50,000 cash option.

The dealership is located at 5800 Fourteen Mile Road, Warren.
