Crash between motorcycle and truck leaves 1 man dead, 25-year-old arrested

 The Farmington Hills Police Department is investigating a crash that left a 55-year-old Detroit man dead around 12:30 a.m. Saturday.

The crash happened on Northwestern Highway, north of 13 Mile Road.

Farmington Hills police say the victim was riding a motorcycle southbound when someone driving a Dodge Ram truck struck him.

When deputies arrived, they found the victim dead at the scene. 

Police say the driver initially fled the scene, but later turned himself in, adding that the man was a 25-year-old Dearborn resident.

The driver is in custody at the Farmington Hills Police Department pending further investigation.

Police do not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.

Authorities suspect another vehicle, believed to be a blue Ford, was also involved in the crash based off evidence collected at the scene.
