Crime Stoppers offering reward for help finding Ypsi teen murderer

Police found victim unconscious in street

YPSILANTI, Mich. – A cash reward of up to $2,500 is being offered for information leading to an arrest in the case of Keon Washington, who police say died from a gunshot wound to the head Saturday. Police are still searching for suspects and anyone who witnessed the shooting.

Ypsilanti police responded to gunshots in the 500 block of Madison Street around 12:35 a.m. When they arrived there was a large crowd in the street around the victim. The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police stopped a vehicle leaving the scene, and the people in the vehicle got out and fled on foot. Some of the fleeing occupants were caught and taken in for questioning. The vehicle was found to have been stolen.

No arrests have been made in this case.
