ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. - The hunt is on for a man who is wanted in connection with the pepper-spraying of a loss prevention officer at a store in Rochester Hills.
The Oakland County Sheriff's Office said two men were stopped Saturday night at the Meijer near Rochester and Auburn roads on suspicion of trying to shoplift $1,200 worth of stuff.
The loss prevention officer was pepper sprayed during a confrontation with the two in the store.
The men got away in a car but investigators were able to trace the car's plate to an address in Madison Heights.
One person, John Carter, was arrested and has been charged with one count of unarmed robbery.
Investigators are still looking for the other man.
