DDOT hiring qualified mechanics, bus drivers

DETROITMayor Mike Duggan and new DDOT Director Dan Dirks have made it a priority to improve DDOT transit services for its customers.  As part of this commitment, DDOT is seeking qualified individuals to fill several mechanic and bus driver positions.

To qualify for the General Auto Mechanic position, applicants must:

·Be 21 years of age or older

·Possess a valid state driver's license

·Have earned a high school diploma or GED

·Have two years of heavy-duty diesel repair experience

·Be a team player

To qualify as a Bus Driver (Transportation Equipment Operator), individuals must:

·Be 18 years of age or older

·Possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

·Have earned a high school diploma or GED

·Have an abundance of people-friendly skills
