The historic district unveiling ceremony and reception will held at the corner of Rotunda Drive and Eastham Road at 3 p.m.

The Springwells Park neighborhood's active neighborhood association was able to demonstrate the subdivision's unique attributes, which meet the criteria for inclusion.

The district is significant for its association with the Ford family. The neighborhood was subdivided and developed by the Ford Foundation.

"Springwells Park is a gem in the city of Dearborn," said O'Reilly. "This designation recognizes the special character of this historic district and bolsters the reputation and value of the neighborhood and the surrounding area."
