Dearborn Coney Island employee shot during robbery

DEARBORN, Mich. – A Dearborn Coney Island employee was shot in the leg during a robbery at the restaurant early Tuesday morning.

Police said two masked gunmen forced the employee to open the restaurant's cash register around 4 a.m., and then shot him.

The employee is expected to be OK, but police are still looking for the robbers.

"The Dearborn Police Department will aggressively investigate this crime and utilize all available resources to identify the suspects. We are urging the public to come forward and provide information to help identify the suspects involved in this crime," said Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad.
