Dearborn Police need help finding man wanted for selling fake tigers tickets

Kodi Akins accused of posting fake tickets on Craigslist

DEARBORN, Mich. – The Dearborn Police Department wants the public's help in finding a man they say is selling fake Tigers tickets online.

Police said Kodi Akins (aka "Fred") is accused of posting ALCS tickets for sale on Craigslist on Oct. 17, 2012.

Several victims responded to the post and met Akins at different locations within Dearborn in order to purchase the tickets.

The victims did not learn that the tickets were invalid until the were denied entry into the stadium.

Police believe that Akins may be responsible for similar scams in or around the cities of St. Louis and Chicago.

Multiple warrants have been issued for Akins' arrest, who was last seen driving a silver or gray Lexus with Indiana License Plate# 282AZI.

Chief Ronald Haddad urges any citizens who may have been victims to notify the police department where the incident occurred.
