DEARBORN, Mich. – Dearborn fire officials on Thursday rescued two dogs that were stuck on the Dix water bridge.
The two dogs were trapped and surrounded by water when police arrived. Officials used a rescue boat to get to the dogs and pull them in.
A nearby driver witness the rescue effort, as officials paddled over to the dogs, pulled them into a rescue boat and paddled to safety. You can watch the video of the rescue below.
Two more videos were submitted by a witness, who was close to the area where the dogs were trapped and got a close-up look at officials pulling the dogs into the boat. You can watch those videos below.
The dogs appear to be shepherd mixes. They're being checked by veterinarians.
