The city of Detroit will enforce two emergency ordinances during the times surrounding Angels' Night.
The emergency curfew ordinance requires that all minors age 17 and under must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian (with identification) from 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29 to 6 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30 and again from 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30 to 6 a.m. Friday, Oct. 31.
During these hours, minors will be allowed to travel to and from work, educational or training programs but the must carry proof of employment or attendance.
Minors violating the curfew will be ticketed and held until picked up by a parent or guardian.
A second emergency ordinance prohibits the dispensing of fuel into portable containers in Detroit from midnight on Oct. 27 through 11:50 p.m. Oct. 3,1 except for emergency situations for those 18 years or older.
