Detroit bus driver accused of throwing woman off bus, hitting her

56-year-old driver charged with misdemeanor

DETROIT – A Detroit Department of Transportation bus driver faces a misdemeanor charge after a Wayne County Sheriff's deputy reported witnessing the driver assault a female passenger.

Roy Duane Bell, 56, is accused of throwing a 21-year-old woman off his bus and assaulting her on the street Feb. 3 in the 8200 block of West Outer Drive. He is charged with aggravated assault and battery.
