Detroit EMS vehicle involved in crash on city's west side

Sky 4 shows jaws of life freeing EMS driver from rig

DETROIT – A Detroit EMS vehicle was involved in an accident Wednesday morning just after 8 a.m. on the city's west side.

The crash happened near the intersection of Linwood and Glendale.

It appears the EMS rig was broadsided by another vehicle.

Images from Sky 4 showed rescue crews using the jaws of life to help free the driver of the EMS rig. There is no word on the extent of injuries.

Local 4 and ClickOnDetroit.com are working to gather additional information, including the status of the people in the second vehicle.
