Detroit firefighter hurt battling apartment building fire

DETROIT - A Detroit firefighter was hurt early Tuesday morning battling a two-alarm apartment building fire on the city's west side.

The fire broke out at a building near Byron and Webb roads.

A fire chief on the scene told Local 4 the firefighter fell through a portion of the floor but was quickly pulled up by his colleagues.

The extent of his injuries were not immediately known.
