The team says former Detroit Lion Derrick Williams started the tradition in 2010 upon launching his foundation, and now his friends and old teammates will continue to host this community event that has attracted over 1,000 fans.

"Last year was the first year I hosted this event with Tully and of course, my team won and we're looking forward to taking on Team Tulloch again," Burleson said. "It's just an overall great time, the fans get to come out, see all of us play softball, we get to interact with them and raise money for our foundations at the same time. It's a great way to kick off the summer."

The event is open to the public and will cost $10 to enter the park. Children under 5 are free.

"I'm really excited to keep this yearly tradition going, raising money for both my and Nate's foundation really helps kick start all the programs we run throughout the year here in the community," said Tulloch. "Operation 55 keeps growing and I really love having these big events to bring out the fans and have a good time. I think this year will be even bigger. I have some secret weapons I'm bringing in for my team this year so expect Team Tulloch to come out with a win."

The game will have concessions provided by Happy's Pizza and opportunities to meet some of Detroit's favorite athletes.

All proceeds from this event will benefit the Nate Burleson and Stephen Tulloch Foundations.
