DETROIT -

A 23-year-old Detroit man was arrested early Monday morning after leading Michigan State Police on a chase while riding a four-wheeler.

Police said the man was spotted driving a 2008 Honda ATV quad eastbound down Seven Mile Road near Monarch Street at about 2:30 a.m.

Police tried to stop him, but he took off -- leading them on a chase onto Mapleridge Street.

He got out of the four-wheeler and ran from police on foot until they caught him hiding under a porch.

Police said a check of his background revealed he had 10 misdemeanor warrants out of the 36th District Court and his license was currently suspended with six prior convictions of driving on a suspended license.
