Detroit mayor, emergency manager, set to present at Detroit Financial Advisory Board meeting

9-member board put in place in 2012 to oversee city's implementation of cost-saving measures

DETROIT – Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan and Emergency Manager Kevyn Orr are scheduled to present an update Tuesday to the city's Financial Advisory Board meeting.

The 9-member board was put together in 2012 to make sure the city completed a list of cost-saving measures outlines in a consent agreement between the city and the state.

Orr is slated to talk about where the city's financial restructuring and Chapter 9 bankruptcy case stands. Duggan will be given time to talk about city operations.
