DETROIT – A man is dead after being struck by a car while he crossed the street near a busy intersection in Northwest Detroit.
It happened around 8pm near 8 Mile Road and Schaefer.

Police told Local 4 that the man was hit by a couple driving eastbound in their vehicle.
At this point police do not know why the man stepped into traffic.
The driver of the vehicle was questioned at the scene, but she was not arrested.
Police do not know the identity of the victim and he did not have identification on him during the accident.
