DETROIT – Detroit Police say a 9-year-old boy who left home last night to go trick-or-treating and never returned home has been found safe.
Police said Thursday morning that Tywon Young had spent the night at a friend's house and went to school Thursday morning.
Young's mother, Termina Washington, reported him missing after he left the house at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday to go trick-or-treating with friends and he did not return.
Washington said her son was suspended from Dufree Elementary last Friday but she didn't know until recently.
It was not clear how he got to school Thursday morning.
