DETROIT -

Detroit police have found a vehicle possibly involved in a hit-and-run Monday afternoon which left an 8-year-old girl fighting for her life.

Kamari Smith was rushed to a hospital after she was struck by a vehicle while standing at an ice cream truck on Robson Street in west Detroit. She remains in critical condition.

Detroit police have a white Dodge Charger with front-end burn damage which they believe could have been involved. Witnesses originally reported it was a silver Charger which struck the girl.
