Detroit police: Mother, son reported missing

DETROIT – Detroit police are asking for the public's help in finding a missing mother and her young son.

Police said Reba Denise Johnson, 53, and her son, Jordan Haynie, 6, haven't been heard from since they left July 3 on an Amtrak train from Louisiana to Detroit.

Police said they believe that Johnson and her son are somewhere in the Detroit area.

Johnson takes medications for schizophrenia and other health issues, and left all of her medication at home, police said.

Johnson is described as 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds, large build with a dark complexion, brown eyes with short brown hair that has blond highlights, and tiny moles on her face.

Jordan is described as 4 feet, 5 inches tall with a thin build, brown eyes and short faded hair. Jordan has a speech impediment and is cognitively delayed. Jordan might have an Iron Man or Spider Man toy with him.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Johnson or her son is asked to call Detroit police at 313-596-1301.
