Detroit police are seeking public help in identifying members of a group of eight young men and one young woman wanted for questioning as people of interest in the critical wounding of a good Samaritan who tried to help a downtown robbery victim.
On Wednesday, police released surveillance camera images showing the group walking east on Jefferson Ave. just before the Aug. 12 shooting.
One of the males was carrying what appeared to be a long glow stick or a lighted toy sword.
Police are unsure if the people in the group are teenagers or young adults.
Calvin Robinson, 61, was shot in the head about 12:40 a.m. as he drove after suspects who had just robbed a 16-year-old girl.
The girl wasn't hurt.

Robinson was a shuttle driver for Central Parking and had just left work when the shooting happened.
His wife, Sharon, told Local 4 she is devastated that her husband has been shot, but not at all surprised that he stepped up to help.
"He's a really nice guy and he ties to help everybody. It's just so sad that this happened to him," she said.
Detroit police ask anyone with information on the shooting to call 313-596-2260 or 800-773-2587.
