DETROIT – Detroit police are working to find three male suspects wanted in connection to shots fired at officers Wednesday morning in a neighborhood near 8 Mile and John R roads.Â
Detroit police Chief James Craig said the officers were on routine patrol when they came under fire about 10:30 a.m. on Remington near Derby. A person armed with what Craig said is an "assault-type" weapon fired 8-10 rounds toward the officers. No one was injured.

Police have released the attached images of the suspected shooter and a gray, older-model 4-door Chrylser.Â
The armed suspect is described as a black male wearing all black and a white T-shirt under his jacket. Police did not provide descriptions for the other two suspects.Â
