Detroit Police seek help finding carjacker

DETROIT – Police are seeking the public's help to identify a carjacker who robbed a man at an east side gas station Monday night.

The suspect exited a black Ford Explorer and used a firearm to rob the victim, taking his white 2009 Pontiac G6. The carjacker in the victim's car was followed out of the gas station by the black Ford Explorer according to witnesses.

Information in regards to this case can be provided to Sergeant Saunders at CATS (313-596-2852) or they can give an anonymous tip to Help Eliminate Auto Theft at 1-800-242-HEAT. HEAT can provide up to a $2,000 cash reward on information leading to an arrest for this carjacking.
